The solution is something very easy to implement. We need two files for this. That you can download from above mentioned url. Then just unzip the package. You will be getting one ASP file and one PHP file from the unzipped package. Then Go to Your wordpress Admin Dashboard.Go to Settings- > Permalink.Change the structure to custom and enter the following data .
Structure: /archives/%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/
Category Base: /archives/category

Permalink for wordpress_iis hosting
The next step you have to do is to upload the .PHP file and .ASP file to the root folder of your blog.
Now you need to set the custom 404 redirect to “/errorpage.asp”. The type of redirect has to be changed to ” URL “.
FINISHED !!!. Just go to your blog and check whether it is working. If not let us work together to tackle the issue.
I wonder Why wordpress developers forgot to incorporate such a functionality with wordpress for IIS hosting.Hope they will provide it on the subsequent releases
